| Welcome to the Texas Black Hereford Association. The first Black Hereford Sale in Texas was accomplished on March 10, 2012. Although it rained both Friday and Saturday of the sale, there was quite a few folks that weathered the storm and attended the sale. On Friday night 225 guests were fed and entertained by the Hwy 19 family band. We planned for 400 guests for our Saturday meal and judging by what food was left we must have fed almost that many. THE BLACK HEREFORD SALE had 93 registered buyers, buying 109 lots for a total of $273,000. It was reported that there were hundreds of registered buyers on the online live auction. Yearling bulls, open heifers, bred heifers, pairs, and bulls 18 months and older, sold very well with the help of our auctioneer. It is a big undertaking to have a sale, and we know without the help of many, many, people giving of their time, sponsorship and efforts the sale would not have been a success. Many new friends were made and old friends were able to visit as well. Thank you, to all who helped make our sale a success.
